What Pivot does

Pivot is a fitness workout-adaptation tool. You select exercises and may describe circumstances such as time, equipment, fatigue, soreness, discomfort, or other workout-related limitations. Pivot is not intended to diagnose or treat medical conditions.

Information you provide

Pivot processes your exercise selections and the text you submit. This may include health- or fitness-related information you voluntarily provide. Do not provide information you do not want processed.

How information is used

Submitted information may be used to generate workout adaptations, operate Pivot, maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve product quality.

AI processing

Pivot currently uses Google's Gemini API. Information reasonably necessary to generate your requested adaptation may be sent to Gemini. Pivot does not send Gemini its API credentials, your IP address, browser metadata, or unrelated internal configuration.

Technical data

Vercel and other hosting or security providers may process limited technical data such as IP address, browser or device information, request timing, errors, and security events. Pivot uses a transient, non-reversible representation of a network address for its in-process abuse controls.

Analytics and performance

Pivot uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated, cookie-free page analytics and Vercel Speed Insights for real-user performance measurements. These tools may process page paths, referrers, approximate location, browser or device information, and performance metrics. Pivot does not intentionally place raw workout or problem text in analytics events, page URLs, or custom attributes.

Storage

Pivot does not currently save submitted limitation or problem text in its own database. Weekly plans and their exercise-completion progress are stored in local storage. If you use workout tracking, active and completed workout sessions, set values, workout notes, and persistent exercise notes are stored in IndexedDB in your browser so they remain available on that device. Workout logging, history, progress calculations, notes, and timers do not call Gemini. Only text you deliberately submit through a Pivot adaptation action is sent for AI processing. You can delete completed workouts in Workout History, discard an active workout, delete previous plans in the planner, or clear all local Pivot data through your browser settings. Hosting and AI providers may process or retain information according to their own service terms, settings, and security practices.

Sharing

Pivot does not sell personal information. Necessary service providers may process data required to provide hosting, AI, security, and infrastructure services.

Security

Pivot uses reasonable safeguards including HTTPS in production, server-side secrets, strict input and output validation, rate limiting, private response caching rules, security headers, and dependency review. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can choose not to provide information you do not want processed. If you do not submit a request, Pivot does not need to process its workout text.

Children

Pivot is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

This notice may change as Pivot's features, providers, and data practices change. The effective date will be updated when material changes are published.
